We just released the best search engine of internet encyclopedia for the Apple iPhone and iPod touch with optimized interface.

About
Coium is a small team of specialists based in Bremen, Germany. We develop applications for fun. We like to optimize workflows and enjoy to use sophisticated and also effective applications. In other words, if we would build furniture our aim were "form & function".
Compendium is a web application to search in encyclopedias (Wikipedia; more will follow) and dictionaries. We invent the user interface and develop a state of the art application. Compendium is available as regular web application and also as a optimized application for Apple's iPhone and iPod touch - free to use.
The application was build in kindly assistance of Harald Kirschner, one of the mootools core developer. Many thanks for his collaboration and poetic code.
The design of this web site is resembled to a web site designed by Neil Ang. He is a great designer and we like to thank him for inspirations. This web site has a new design, cause it has many modifications and different techniques.
Application
Compendium - Live Search in more than ten Wikipedia's and several dictionaries with iPhone and iPod touch.
Enhanced interface
Search and browse like in a native iPhone application. The user interface is optimized to handle the app by your finger and browse in regular or landscape view.
Multiply encyclopedias
Search in a library of encyclopedias - in Wikpedia and dictionaries of several languages. The library can be extended, e.g. to other encyclopedias, dictionaries, bi-lingual dictionaries, thesaurus.
Live Search
Find it faster - during typing the app is already looking for hits and suggest them. Choose the search type to search at line beginning, inside and others. Browse the hits in a scrollable list and select your demanded hit.
Optimized view
View the whole Wikipedia content but without space consuming of Wikipedia header, menu and footer. The content is already readable in the overview, is zoomable, you can change the width and you can search inside the article.
